Status Reports
Status reporting involves providing updates on where the project lies at the moment. This also involves many calculations for further funding the project and time considerations for whether tasks are being completed as planned and how long those take. Status reporting is very useful for keeping up with the overall project rather than just project completion.
Forecasts & Status Review
Project managers can use forecasts for predicting status and progress for projects based on previous reports on completion and funding. They utilize their earned value management skills for coming up with the necessary estimates for forecasts.
Lastly, status review meetings and a good technique for reporting performance. They’re useful for motivating your team in continuing to make progress in their areas of the project and also discussed issues with projects. Status review meetings are performed at both, the project and top management level. Project managers are responsible for overseeing each members’ progress while top managers deal with the overall view of team success.
